Ages 6–11 (Elementary) meet on Saturdays, 10:00 a.m.–12:00 p.m., for a fast-paced, two-hour session where kids work with real scientists to explore bioprocessing—spanning biopharma (cell growth and simple purification), food science (fermentation and enzyme reactions), biofuels (how microbes help make energy), environmental biotech (water cleanup and safe filtration), biomaterials (gels and capsules that protect ingredients), and everyday biotech (color-change tests and beginner formulation). It’s energetic, real-lab learning that builds confidence and curiosity.
Pricing: Free. Seats are limited—please register to confirm your spot.
Ages 12–18 (Middle/High School) meet on Saturdays, 10:00 a.m.–12:00 p.m., for a fast-paced, two-hour lab where teens work alongside real scientists on bioprocessing at a deeper level—biopharma (cell culture scale-up, media optimization, and intro purification with chromatography/filtration simulations), food science (enzyme actions and fermentation design), biofuels (microbe-driven energy concepts and yield tuning), environmental biotech (clarification and bioremediation models), biomaterials (hydrogels/encapsulation for protecting actives), and everyday biotech (quantitative color assays and basic data analysis). It’s energetic, industry-aligned, and built to sharpen real lab skills and scientific judgment.

Our FAQs
-
After-School: $300/month flat (tutoring + labs).
Saturday: $50/workshop or $125/month (4 Saturdays). That monthly plan saves $75 vs. $200 value—37.5% off. -
Hands-on bioprocessing: safety + aseptic technique, media prep, yeast-based growth simulation, clarification/filtration, quick assay and simple data capture. We provide PPE and clear steps. All demos are non-edible; no food/drink in lab areas.
-
Our lab: 3675 Market Street, Philadelphia, PA 19104. To keep it hands-on, we cap sessions at 24 seats. Early sign-up is recommended.
-
Closed-toe shoes; comfortable clothes. We supply PPE and materials. Please avoid loose hair/jewelry in lab areas.
-
For Saturday and After-School, please contact Team@nafeesino.com or 215-888-4431 ≥48 hours before the session start; later requests may not be eligible.
-
We’re one of the few youth bioprocessing programs in the country. Sessions are led by industry scientists, fast-paced, and outcomes-focused—students leave knowing what they did and why it matters.
