Nafees Innovations offers engaging STEM workshops tailored for K-12 schools, designed to inspire curiosity and innovation in science. Schools can sign up for workshops hosted at our lab or have us travel to your location.

In-Lab Workshops
(Monday, Wednesday, and Friday)

Workshop Duration: 90-minute sessions

Available Time Slots:

  • Morning Block: 9:00 AM – 11:00 AM
  • Afternoon Block: 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM

Cost per Workshop Block: $600
Capacity: Maximum of 15 students per session
Location: Nafees Innovations Lab, 3675 Market St, Philadelphia, PA

Travel Workshops
(Tuesday and Thursday)

  • Workshop Duration: 90-minute sessions
  • Cost per Workshop Block: $550
  • Capacity: Up to 50 students per workshop
  • Details: We bring our hands-on STEM experience directly to your school. All materials and equipment are provided to ensure a seamless learning experience.

Additional Details for Schools

  • Workshop Content: Each workshop is highly interactive, tailored to your students’ grade level, and designed to make STEM topics exciting and relatable.
  • Booking Limitations: Due to space limitations, lab workshops can only accommodate 15 students per session. For larger groups, please select a Travel Workshop option (Tuesday or Thursday).
  • Travel Area: Workshops are available for schools within a 50-mile radius of Philadelphia, PA. For schools outside this area, additional travel fees may apply.

From Cells to Cures: The Basics of Cell Culture

Students will learn how scientists grow and maintain living cells in a controlled environment, simulating the process used to create medicines and vaccines. Hands-on activities include practicing pipetting techniques and observing cell growth.

Milk to Cheese Lab: Exploring Enzyme Activity

This interactive session demonstrates how enzymes transform milk into curds and whey, mimicking real-world purification processes used in biopharmaceuticals and food production.

DNA Detectives: Introduction to Bioinformatics

Students will dive into the digital side of biology, analyzing DNA sequences and learning how computers help solve biological mysteries. This workshop makes complex concepts simple and fun.

Purify Like a Pro: Hands-On Purification Techniques
